James Nichols spent the first twenty years of his life growing up in the flatlands of nortwestern Ohio, where, at the close of his high-school years he discovereed a passion for artistic creativity. By the late seventies films like "Star Wars" and "Close Encounters" rekindled the love of science fiction that he knew as a youngster, so much he began painting alien landscapes and soaring spaceships.
